National Sorry Day is an Australia-wide observance held on May 26 each year. This day gives people the chance to come together and share the steps towards healing for the Stolen Generations, their families and communities. This year, Kai Rho brought together locals and businesses from across the Goldfields to acknowledge the day with a morning tea and historical presentation.
In April 2021, Kai Rho commenced Dust Suppression services at the Iron Ridge Project on a 3 year contract with head contractor MACA. The Iron Ridge Project operates on Wajarri Yamatji Traditional Lands.
In an “elevator-pitch” speech at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry forum, What’s Down The Track, Rowena was asked to share with the audience the impact assistance from Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resource’s Entrepreneurs Program has had on Kai Rho.
Kai Rho Contracting, along with several other prominent Aboriginal owned businesses in the Goldfields regions, have formed a Chamber for Aboriginal Businesses.
At a Perth presentation to more than 250 guests from across the mining and resource industry Rowena Leslie shared her insights on the many benefits her Aboriginal business offers in building the skills and confidence of Aboriginal employees.
